What a loss. Tom and I were roommates at NAS Quonset Point, RI. He was a member of my wedding party walking me to the railing and when I asked why he was doing so, he said, "I want to make sure you get there." That was Tom being Tom! Following seas, Tom!

I was just speaking to a friend about Tom Greenlee, yesterday. As a boy i lived in Tionesta, my father was the Pastor of the Methodist church there. When i was 12 I bought my first hunting rifle from Tom, which I still own. I was also able to spend a weekend with him and Jerry Sass in Pittsburgh with the Helicopter crews. Fond memories of a great man and truly great American. Our families deepest condolences to your family. Dan Edder

Tom was one of the original Seawolves, a "plank owner" as we say in the Navy. HA(L)-3 was the most decorated Navy squadron in history and Tom was there at the beginning to help get it going and establish the traditions that remain in Navy helicopter squadrons today. RIP, Tom Greenlee.

I did not know Tom but I would like to offer my deepest sympathy. I also lost my husband to the effects of Agent Orange in 2001. He was only 51. May all your cherished memories help you through this difficult time.

Upon first meeting (late 60s/early 70s) Tom "Mr. Outdoor-Everything" Greenlee, I knew he was the "Go-To Man" for literally everything regarding outdoor equipment! I bought my first pair of XC skis from him that eventually led me to travel to Wisconsin (with Peg Adams Sims and his younger Sisters Paula and MJ .. Tuner?) to ski the AB. He always had that twinkle in his eye whenever I tried to engage him in conversation for questions or advice .. as though he was ready to quip some words of advice laced with Tom Greenlee humor .. but his replies were always genuine and helpful which made me feel welcome to go back to him time and again for more questions/advice. I really liked and respected him! I will never forget him .. he was the best ever kind of Man! Everyone loved him!

although i did not know him,i read his obit.thru the tionesta,pa. facebook site,ive been going to tionesta since 2012,im a navy veteran,love to hunt and fish,operate a small beef cattle farm,spend most of my time with my dogs.....tom and i would have had much to talk about!....so sorry for your loss....i wish him "fair winds and following seas"!

I bought my first pair of XC skis from Tom which started a long ski career for me. . I loved going to the store and hanging out with Tom. He was a great friend to me and my sister Sarah. We have been missing him for a long time. Much sympathy to the whole family. Happy trails Tom.

I am very sorry to hear of your loss. I met Mr. Greenlee when I was ten years old and stayed in touch with him when I could into my twenties. I respected and thought the world of him. I was so proud when he agreed to be a reference for me when I got out of school and started looking for employment. I wish I would have not lost touch with him through the years. My father who is now 85 years old still talks about him to this day and tells stories how he would keep the store open on a Friday night and we would eat fish sandwiches together and tell stories and laugh. He will be missed but never forgotten. Mr. Tom Greenlee was a Mans Man!
